Step 1: Use a Screwdriver for hotwiring a car

Use a screwdriver to hotwire a car

If you’re familiar with hotwiring a car using a screwdriver, starting the vehicle should be easy.

Insert a slotted screwdriver into the ignition system’s keyhole. Like turning the key in the ignition to start the car, turn the screwdriver.

Verify that the screwdriver turns easily and that the engine starts up.

Some cars, especially older ones, might be able to use this technique. But there are additional procedures you’ll have to follow for more complex models.

Step 2: Removing the screws with Screwdriver

If removing the cover from the steering column using a screwdriver doesn’t work, try using this tool.

You can find the screws on either side of the steering column, which is easy. To access the access panels, remove the screws.

After that, remove the access panels carefully, and you will discover the wiring for the ignition system.

Step 3: Find the wires

Find the wires
Its crucial to find the wires

When you get into the wiring system, you’ll see many different wiring combinations.

The color scheme for each type of wiring is unique. In a vehicle, there is a specific combination of the wiper blades, lights, and engine and battery.

You need to seek out the bundle that has the motor, battery, and ignition system attached to it.

Determine which wire goes to the battery and which one goes to the ignition switch. Even though there isn’t a hard and fast rule, the battery wire is typically red.

Note: If you are not confirmed then consult your car handbook or research the model online

Step 4: Connect the wires by twisting them tightly

Remove a small piece of insulation from the ends of the battery and ignition wires after you’ve identified them.

Carefully, either by hand or with the help of pliers, twist the wires together. The engine lights, ignition, and radio should be activated if everything is working properly.

Step 5: Find the motor wire

After that, you need to find the motor wire. The car’s motor is connected to it by this wire. After the wire has been located, remove some insulation from its end. Be careful as you touch the motor wire’s end to the ends of the other two twisted wires.

Note: It’s not necessary to twist this one; just touch it. Your car’s engine should turn over if you’ve done it right.

Step 6: Use a Cordless Electric Drill

Also, if the first two options don’t work, use a cordless electric drill to make a hole in the keyhole about the length of your key.

The locking pins will come out easier if you take the drill out a few times while you’re drilling. Insert the screwdriver into the drill and turn it. Now, your engine should start up.

Step 7: Use an Electric Tape

Protect the live end of the starter wire by taping it properly. It could shock you or start a fire if it came into contact with you or anything else.
